My health update
As many of you know I've been having health problems. The 11th of April I went in the hospital peeing blood. It was determined that my kidneys were shutting down so I was catheterized and a port in my chest was installed for dialysis. I underwent many other tests and procedures and a lot of things were found to be undesirable, a little psoriasis of the liver and COPD were the biggest.
I spent 17 days in the hospital, being released on the 28th, and started dialysis on the 29th. Yesterday I was told it was my last day for dialysis and they would determine in the near future if the port in my chest would be coming out.
I guess my kidneys kick started and maybe I can get back to something near normal with some restrictions. I am very thankful and quite fortunate with this turn of events and I want to thank all of you good folks that have kept me in your thoughts and prayers

dialysis is no fun but it can keep you alive. my dad 2 brothers and a sister were on dialysis . My sister still is. She is on the transplant list, but this virus is stopping all that. They had you on hemo if you should have to go back on it ask for paratinel (spelling) It is easier on you and can be done anywhere home vacation anywhere. GOOD LUCK and we will be parying for you..

That's great news! Hope you continue to improve and the port comes out.

My late wife died of kidney disease, so I'll pass the opportunity for good wishes, instead leaning towards a kick in the shorts: a little introspective view point is recommended. Consider what habits you can change to improve your health. Improve what is deficient.
Not for me.

Rick, Rosie, and myself are sending you aroha from Downunder.
This family has a lot of aroha and respect for you. (But you knew that already.)
Thinking of you and wishing everything goes well for you.
Good luck mate.

Well Ken you've been busy. Glad those kidneys came back onboard. Do what you can to help them keep working.

Yesterday, May 26th, I got word that I'm done with dialysis and shortly thereafter I got word from the clinic that on Mon, June 1st the port in my chest comes out.
I'm really looking forward to that as it's a real pain to take a shower and it itches like crazy.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

Absolutely terrific news Ken...…………….try not to do that stuff again.
