67 Camaro
Richard & Streets,
Thanks for your responses. To start with My name is Jack and my sons is Trevor. Here is all the documentation I have to date.
We purchased the car from the original owner. Originally sold on 7/6/67 for a mere $3,066.84. I have the protecto plate which matches the numbers on the car.
Standard coupe (no RS or SS), no power steering, no power brakes, no ac. This is basically a bare bones model.
VIN 124377L130396
Motor Compartment I.D.'s

I'm with you Streets in trying to keep it original, but I also don't want to search endless junkyards looking for "original" parts I might need. The engine ran great bringing it home (no oil burn, good pick up). Visual so far with the valve covers and distributor off looks good. I'm looking for a small increase in HP (is upping to 250 considered small increase) and having the engine shine. My boy wants a lot of chrome, which I could get on board with. I'm living vicariously through my son, so I would also like to put headers on. I could keep rambling on but stop to give you a chance to laugh. I have thick skin, so bring it on.

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
