Has anyone installed a Chevy Ram Jet 350 in there vehicle? I was curious as to the performance, fuel economy, reliability, etc. Let me know if you have any stories, good or bad.
Thanks!

Brian, this isn't based on personal experience, but I've had a couple conversations with folks that have done one. The comments I've heard are complimentary. Power and economy are better than a carbureted engine, but not at the same level as a full blown, closed loop system. This is probably attributable to the computer that comes with the Ram Jet. Chevrolet's objective is to have a "simple" to install system. As such, they went to the parts bin and elected to use a control computer from the marine division. It doesn't use an oxygen sensor, and may have some other short cuts when compared to the full system. It makes it easier to install, utilizes a simpler harness, and is less costly. But it also limits the amount of "tuning" the computer can do because of the reduced number of inputs indicating operating conditions.
