Don, congrat's on getting your body painted AND getting a nice job too. I can't believe how shiney it is, in the one picture you can see a chicken's leg's reflecting in the paint now that is shine.
All kidding aside it look's great and you will be cruising before you know it.
Ron
Looking good Don, keep up the good work
Brad
Thank you all. Hehe, chicken legs, huh?  Never gonna live that one down. :3dSMILE:
Tonight I undercoated the floor and undersides with brush on truck bed liner, went on well but I got more on me than on the car. Now the car shouldn't rust and neither will I. :p The stuff dries very fast, so tomorrow I plan to clean my frame and running gear well and when the Kids get to the shop to help me lift we can put the body down onto the frame. If all goes well that should be the last time.
In theory, I should be able to drive the car for the first time by next weekend. All I have to do is bleed and adjust the brakes and wire it, plus install things like my steering shaft and wheel. I see another YouTube coming. :3dSMILE:

That's actually pretty cool. I was thinking of having an airbrush guy do one of those old cam decals, like the girl riding a camshaft. I would put it down a little lower though, almost to the bottom. I had a Lady Luck decal on my '27 in that same position.
Don
No, actually, now that I look at it, I had the same Mr Horsepower woodpecker on my '27 that you posted. I had Lady Luck on the windshield.
Don
Don,
Don't you still have that car in pieces? I'm just curious, what possessed you to build another car as opposed to putting that one back together? I've always liked '27's; I'd like to see it up and running again. Not too sure about the pink & lavender though...:HMMM: :p
It's PURPLE !!  I drove it for 7 years almost daily, and it got very tired. Needed a complete redo, so I tore it down. I got involved with a girlfriend, and we were busy doing the relationship things like bike riding and trips, so it just sat for the next seven years. I kept planning on repainting everything and building a fresh engine for it, but somehow just never got around to it. I did strip the body back down to bare gelcoat a couple of years ago in preparation for a proper paint job, but then it got shelved again.
But, to give you a good answer why I haven't put it back together, I really can't. It is just one of those things that got shoved into a corner and forgotten. When the first of the year comes I plan on first finishing up the Dodge truck, because that one is so near being drivable, then I am going to start back on the '27. Over those 7 years of driving it I found some things I want to change (drop the front of the engine down an inch or so, etc).
Don
I also want to drop the seat down lower. It was comfortable this way, but I sat too high in it.
Don
Whoops, need to post picture , I guess.
Don,
Isn't Barbie's car the same color?
I knew I should have painted it red.
