Your package is coming back to you..........:D
Don you got Bob's head so swelled up he wont be able to get it to fit in any of his cars. ( No I'm not calling him a fathead ) LOL well maybe
Brad
Its just all the info he has packed in there over the years:LOL: ;)
I knew anybody that can dish it out like Bob could take it too. :)
(Memo to self.......do not accept any strange looking letters  )
Don
I got these about 20 years ago from a place near Chi. that sold tires I think it was Kelly tire but probably any tire store that does instalations could get them. My machine in about 30 yr. + in age but beats the heck out of taking wheels and tires somewhere and paying to have them do them I have a balancer also.:)
Okay Brad, you're in the game now, and I have spies in Sparta! Caught this pic of your girlfriend...........:3dSMILE:
I knew she had Belushi blood lines.
oh god ... that.s bad ...you could not get up with the help from a blue pill
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkk. I was just getting ready to make dinner, too.  Makes one wonder where Bob REALLY comes up with all these.  :D
Charlie, I like those plastic tips. I'm going to the tire shop tomorrow to get my rear tires dismounted, so I will ask them. Thanks for the tip.
Well guys, I have some big news. The two engine stands are empty, which means one thing.........the engine and tranny have taken up residence elsewhere, and that elsewhere is INSTALLED IN THE FRAME. :D :D Dan and I got the flexplate, convertor, and tranny installed on the engine today, and slipped it into the frame. And I mean slipped. It went without a hitch, and everything bolted up like it was planned or something.
I did have some fear about the steering box hitting the oil filter, because I had to move it over about a half inch when I intalled the Flaming River box, but it still clears. The weight of the engine and tranny dropped the frame down to 6 inches clearance in the front, and 7 1/2 in the rear, just about what I wanted. The body and remaining stuff should drop it just a little more, as will the smaller 5:00 x 15 front tires, but I wanted it low, and low is what I got. It should still go down the road ok, with no clearance issues.
Here are some shots of where the car ended up tonight. Talk about being on cloud nine. :D :D
Don
Here are a few more.
Man, that is gorgeous! I love that color! Judging from the first 5 or 6 pictures, it's a real "pussy magnet", too, isn't it?
That looks great, you should be proud ! Why isn't the body at the paint shop?:D Seriously it looks great!
I hope so. :)Quote:

Thanks James. I am starting to like it more and more now that stuff is going on. I'm glad I decided against painting everything the orange, it might have been overpowering. But man I'm really starting to get excited about getting this thing on the road. Daytona should be no problem timewise this year. Dan has been working on his too, and has the floor pretty well along, so I'm going to make sure his makes it this year too.
BTW, how is yours coming??
Don
Don, Looks great
Bob, Ok I give up I won't date your twin sister any more. lol
Thanks Brad. Scarey part is, his Twin Sister got all the looks.
Don
Don the colors are great . Now i wont be able to wait and see the body on and it creating a 3 D effect .

Nice thing is, when it comes back from him I should be able to mount it and that will be the end of the hard stuff. (famous last words :D )

Don, here comes the part I like so much, brake lines, fuel lines, and wiring harness. So I'm just a little weird, I know when I get to that point, it's not long before I'm driving.
Brad
Brake lines fuel lines??? POLISHED STAINLESS????:D :D

Yep Brad, that's the part I don't mind either. At least it's relatively clean work compared to all the other stuff.
I'm kind of taking a break today, got the slicks dismounted this afternoon, so now I can prep and paint the rear wheels. Tie rod should be here some day this week, so I can paint them all at the same time, I hope.
But for the rest of today, I'm gonna kick back and watch Judge Judy. :D
Don
Man don , that car is looking real sharp, i cant wait to see it.
Don---Thats too nice to cover with a body!!! Congratulations---I will have a celebration beer for you tonight!!!---Brian
Thanks guys. That beer sounds like a good idea..........think I'll join you.
John, barring some unforseen problems, I won't be a spectator at Daytona this year. (for a change :3dSMILE: )
Don
Me neither, and ill have paint on it this year, oh wait i already do, i took some pics but its saying the file is too big , so i have to take some more on a different setting.
Can you go into your pictures and reduce the size there? I haven't seen your car for a while, would like to.
Don
Hotrod i store my pics in 2 folders one for original size then i copy them to another folder and there i resize for the internet of 600X400 or same as 35 to 40kb
Don remember the video and you tube . The rumble from the pipes will make a cold one better .
Don when is the turkey run's dates, not that I threaten you with a chance of showing up then, but I have been crazy enought to do just that.

Brad: It is held every Thanksgiving. The days are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It is fantastic, especially at night on A1A, where all the cars cruise for hours on end. There is a shopping center on A1A that becomes sort of the main spot (I forget the name of it) but every hotel and parking lot is jammed with cars.............over 5,000 last year.
We usually set up our lawn chairs on the sidewalk with a cooler of our favorite soda pop (    ) and watch all the cars go by. I think it is going to start getting more restricted as to what you can get away with, because last year we noticed a very heavy police presence. They have a new head cop there, and he has a reputation as a no nonsense guy. Plus, the regular residents of Daytona are complaining about all the noise and short bursts of speed and smoke.
You should come if you can, plus it is NOVEMBER and OHIO is not the warmest place on the planet then...........we are wearing shorts. :p
Dan was just saying last night that he and I should start flying out to some shows around the country, like Billetproof and Paso. These would be great to see.
Don
Thanksgiving weekend, it starts on thursday and ends on sunday.
You beat me to it Don. the shopping center is the belair plaza
Yup, that's the name. Did you get your pictures shrunk? Wanna see your car. :) :)

If there is any way you can make the L.A. Roadster show June 17 you and your son are more than welcome to stay at our house. We have plenty of room and would love to visit with you.
Ken
That's a really super offer Ken, and much appreciated. He and I are in the process of moving, and need to be in the new place on June 15th, so that particular time will be not good for us, but would love to take you up on the offer sometime down the road.
Again, thank you so much for mentioning this and the offer, I'd love to meet you in person as well.
Don
Looking good Hotrod, better get some glass in there before the kids start climbing thru.
Brad
Well there you go don ,the pics you wanted, thanks to denny for helping out on them, the black did not turn out as nice as i wanted, i could not get the laquer to spray right, so i gave up. I figure i can fix it at a later date. Now i have to get it back together and do some pinstriping and it will look alot better.
Looks really good John. I like your taillights and the two tone. Seems like you got your spraying problem solved?
I'm down to my last spraying too. Got the rear wheels painted tonight, and after they cure for a few days I'm going to mount the tires back on both ends. I've decided to do it myself, as I will be more careful and scratch the rims less than the corner tire store. I'll take then in to be balanced when I'm done.
The kid in me made me mount the front rim to see how it was going to look. I sure like it better than the red ones I've been using. But red is still my favorite for wheels.
My tie rod should show up this week, and after that is painted pretty much the only thing left is the driveshaft (which I have to have made locally) and the body. Few minor parts beyond that, but not much.
Here are some pictures of my front wheel on and the rear wheel after painting them.
