I will build one of these....Just need to find a bombed out aluminum block to make it light enough and cost effective. What do you figure an aluminum block in unusable shape should go for?

That has got to be the coolest thing i have ever seen
the block is cheap compared to the time spent polishing!
scrap value i guess..what a block weight, and alum is what price per pound?
Now, THAT is cool... I wonder if one of those lightweight engine block replicas could somehow be used. Of course it wouldn't be polished, but it might look pretty cool anyway...
Streets, now that's funny about the 454 ripping something off the snowplow! :)
Anyone have suggestions on where to go to try and round up a broken aluminum block? I'm just itching to do this. :)
i was going to say that's the coolest thing i ever saw.... but then i scrolled down and it sounds like someone else got there first!
but really wow.... i have to have one of those now, i don't know what i'll do
Hey Brent, don't ya have one of those laying around somewhere, Hastings, NE comes to mind :HMMM: :3dSMILE:
Larry
Smart ass! :D
now thats my kind of table!
Tool Cool I've seen some pretty tasty stuff but that takes the cake. And If I had one my wife would quit complaining about the piece of glass sitting on top of a beer keg at our place.
Otto
And I have to add it will go very nicely with my bench seat from a 57 tri five, Um I mean couch
I wonder, do you use furniture or chrome polish on it?
Oh geeezzzz, you guys are killing me with my dead 427.... :)
