37 Ford build--IE: old Header issues thread /37 Ford/5.0/GT40P heads

Dave not discouraged at all matter of fact i'm stoked up pretty much i love this 37 model great lines and persona . I'm just mentioning the work it will take to pull this one together . Sheet metal is a easy chore just wish the prices where a little more attainable with out crashing the car funds . The upper body is really straight that is a plus , deck lid looks like new inside . The replacement front metal is perfect also .

I will keep the $125 in mind though when i cut off the bottom of the right door :D

Hey not bleek at all spent some time today looking up these parts . Yogi had the excact part pictured a few others had the reference photos up . The part has every thing needed so no probs . Seen the first photo and looked like only a section of piece was available . Figured it would be a make shift piece but its all good . Glad i did some looking since i played hooky from work . Had a great 2.5 hour napp watched Iron Man good day .

Here is pics of inner though with pillar and floor does look scary but i can cut and replace easy .

ALRIGHT RANDY!!! I'm so happy for you! That's GREAT NEWS !.!.!.!

My back has become the least of my troubles as I suffered a heart attack 2 weeks ago! Also learned that I'm diabetic and suffer from low blood pressure!

My life has changed in the last couple weeks to be sure. Wife won't let me work on the car for at least another week after I start physical therapy! :(

Mike just rest and get better the car will still be there . Just think you get to visit here more often while you are resting

Randy - Glad you can finally spread out a bit. I'm still a bit tied up with some post election "clean up" with the candidate I was working with - we lost to the "charisma" carried through the ranks by the other side. Such is life. Good guys with good ideas don't always finish first:CRY:

IC2, sorry to hear of your "loss" to the other guy. At least you participated! More than many do in todays politics. Me included - sad to say! Hey guys,

I spent yesterday & today taking down the wall between the 2 garages so I can have an open space. It wasn't a solid wall anyway, just 1x6's nailed in place to separate the space. I built some shelves & a work bench, now I just have to figure out where everything will go so I can find it when I need it. That's always a problem for me....I lost my hammer several times today...LOL!

What's up with the heart, Mike? Was there much damage or was it more of a wake up call? I hope the latter. You gotta take care of yourself, my friend. We have cars to finish.....LOL! Here's hoping & praying for a speedy & complete recovery!!!

Did you recycle that wall into shelves and a bench? Losing the hammer is a good sign I think!
Damage? We won't know for at least 6 months how much and if it's permanent. Right now I'm pumpin' about 15% !!! But they say I can get that back up with therapy, diet etc. etc. etc. I say there's no place to go but up! The doctors and nurses continually told me and the family that I was the only patient in CCU that was smiling and laughing every day. I tried to keep a good outlook each day. Cryin' about it won't help I figure! I am actually going to the garage tonite to see the guys! First time in weeks.:)

Randy I will be needing some good build reference soon . If the A moves the 37 moves in its place and i will need some close up pics of special areas to get them put back together . So get the wall knocked down build the bench and get some more work done on the great heirloom 37 you have .

Hey Bobby,
The wall is down, the bench is built, now I just have to organize my tools and stuff so I can find things I need when I need them. I'm excited to get back to work on my car! Time and money are tight but there are plenty of things to do on it in the meantime. Let me know when you need more pics and I'll be happy to accomodate.

Mike, I hope your time in the garage this weekend was healthful and theraputic. If you don't already, figure out a way to make a healthy diet and exercise part of your daily life. It'll make a huge difference! Don't mean that to sound preachy, I just know it works and many people don't do it until it's too late.

Dave, how are things? Is the car at the upholsterer yet? You need to post some video of your first drive around the block, ok?

The hours spent in the shop this weekend were some of the best ever! It's like that old saying, "you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone"! I did drive the coupe around and it was the best therapy! :whacked: :3dSMILE: :whacked: :D

Randy, I start physical therapy this wednesday and meet with the nutritionist right after! My wife has become the food police and tossed out all my old "junk food" (her words) .. I guess the time has come for a change in my life and I better embrace it..... sigh.....
