I remember your thread Dave, why I `m not sure, maybe because I thought better of them, and maybe they are just getting to busy for quality control, but I am seriously considering buying them raw and cleaning them up and send them to Jet hot.

I like the shape of these headers .
Well today was last day of the 5 days off . Spent most prepping the door jambs and cowl areas .
I also put on some chip guard like the older cars had from the factory . It will be colored like the car so will be barely seen . The rocker mlds will hide most of it also .

Bobby - every time I see what you are having to do to that 'stang it makes me very happy that I passed on that '67/8 'vert about 10-12 years ago.
You're doing a great job:cool:
Dave I did all the panels because they are very cheap . I could also get a good look at the insides and protect them more . Usually this cowls are in bad shape this is a southern car and they are clean .
This car could have used just the patches but I can do a full panel in the same amount of time . I am putting it together to last another 50 years or so .
But NEVER NEVER pass on a vert for good money LOL . Now you have to watch verts with all the extra bracing that is installed at the factory to support the car , but then again really cheap to restore when you can do the work .
yeah, like Dave said, you're doing a great job on this Stang, Bobby! I had a 66 coupe a long time ago. I bought it as a fixer upper. It turned out ok but it would turn out much better if I did it today. I've learned a lot since then...:) but I still have lots to learn!
I'm making some progress on my truck. I've swapped out the bent I-beam, got the rim repaired, put new front tires on and got it aligned. It's driving great. I'm going to get some estimates for the body work tomorrow. I've located another short bed truck so I might just work a deal to swap beds with the guy. His is mostly a parts truck anyway. I'll find out about that on Wednesday. If I could just eek out some decent gas mileage from that guzzlin 352FE I'd be much happier!:CRY: I do believe in miracles but that's one that's probably not going to happen!;)
The 37 waits patiently for attention.....:HMMM:
Randy as the truck being the daily it takes all priority . 65 parts are even cheaper then the 67 so a lot easier to do .
My 37 is getting small attention but its moving . If it was waiting on me it would still be tarped up .:(
Randy, good news on the D.D., not so good news on the 37..:( Time management is a cross we all must bear..:LOL:
Bobby, the mustang looks very nice! After doing my 67 fastback over and over again, at least five times.., I finally got the bug one day and sold the mustang and bought the chassis for the 34. Haven't looked back since!:D
Like the Mustang, I'm already planning a re-incarnation for the 34. I just can't help myself!
Mike I have had it so long did get bored with it some , whats caused me to get the older one's . But I would finally like a clean fastback again since I drove one in 74 when I was 18 paid $500 for it then . SO even the 31 will go soon after completion to get one great fastback . Then maybe another old tin to do .
Well have been wet sanding the stang for a few days have the main body done and one fender . :( Geez did I forget what work this was . Wife got me in a pic most likely the only one of me working LOL :3dSMILE:

Good work, Bobby! At least somebody is making some progress! I've been gathering up parts to fix my truck. It's back on the road but the body work isn't done yet. I'm getting estimates on that. Will make some decisions soon. In the meantime, I'll just drive it....:)
Drive it , its not that bad at all . The 37 is making some headway too . That's because it's not me working on it :) . Since my extra garage didn't make it up this year ( another story ) I have to get this done and sold before the 37 comes home . The 37 won't be sitting out side any more with the body having fresh metal work . I bartered the drive line and suspension to get it finished .
