What?? So now you don't like my truck??:mad::p:LOL::LOL::3dSMILE:
I'm sure your hide will heal soon or the "ripper" will know what for!! Gotta watch out for those RV guys.....:D
Randy - love the truck, but it's not a '37 Ford tudor:HMMM:
As far as the hide ripper - he has been "handled" and is sniveling in an appropriate corner:3dSMILE:. Someday I'll do a thread on some of the RV characters. Car forum guys are (mostly) princes in comparison.
Attachment 50215Attachment 50214Attachment 50213Attachment 50211Attachment 50212Ok Randy I will give it a try. Actually the shiny car was a '36 three window with a rumble seat. Apparently it is a restoration and I was amazed by the excellent paint and the immense foot room in the rumble seat area. My '29 rumble seat is turning out to be just for kids! There were some amazing later model cars with blowers but since the U.S. Gov. now wants 53 mpg and gas is expensive I think the cars with blowers have mostly become show cars or track monsters. Anyway due to my age I like the older cars. Actually I did not see any '35 or '37 Fords there so this '36 will have to do. The fenderless Model A Tudor really caught my eye as a much older rod with 21 stud flathead power and the good old three pipe headers. However the interior was very nice and had apparently been treated to a redo with a mohair kit so the whole car was basically better than a rat rod with lots of nostalgia! Finally I had a good discussion with the owner of a 1930 Model A Tudor that had been chopped by the owner and the chop was really smooth! There was also a very nicely chopped '39 with frenched headlights. Now I will try to attach the photos. Well this not all of what I wanted to send but there seems to be a limit of 5 pictures and I did not get a picture of the whole '36 anyway. In the upper left corner you can see the reflection of my Richmond Nationals T-shirt in the side panel of the '36 coupe. The fenderless Tudor also had a 21 stud flathead! Most of the other pictures I took were of 1929 Ford hood shelves since that is the area of interest to me at this time.

Thanks for sharing those Don! I love the first pic, The colors on that 39/40 Ford just POP!
Yeah, Don, that's the downside of posting pics through the "manage attachments". You are limited to 5 pics at a time. If you use Photobucket or something like that, you can post as many "image links" as you want in the body of your post.
Thanks for the pics!!
Randy
Thanks for the pics Don. I have to admit that I am in love with that Tudor. I would put bigger rubber on the back, but other than that, YIEOZZA!
I guess it's time for one of us to show some progress pics, so I'll jump in! :D
Here's some photos of the interior as of tonite. Almost done and I'm pretty pleased with myself! It's my first one really and other than help with the headliner and around the back window, I did it with my own hands with the guidance of a friend who has done interiors before. I still need to finish the window trim and maybe over the winter replace the seat covering. Also some little things to "tidy" up.. Now to apply to the state for title and tags.....:LOL::3dSMILE::D
Nice job, Mike!!! That's exciting!!! I'm a long ways away from that part but I did take my fenders, hood, deck lid, hood side panels & inner fenders to the sandblaster today. I had already stripped the fenders but I wanted to get them good and clean. They should be finished by the end of the week and I'll shoot them with some epoxy primer to seal them up. I'll post some pics when I get them back. :3dSMILE:
Thanks for the kudo's.. I realize it's not a pro job by any means! But it's presentable I won't be embarrased when some one looks inside and I can honestly say I did it!
Very nice Mike. Good tough material. NOW, we need to see it running down the road!
Randy - I hope your 'blaster doesn't get too carried away with his gun. Sounds like you'll be doing some painting this weekend
Ok, so I got my fenders, hood, etc. back from the sandblaster this week. Of course, sandblaster revealed some pitting on the front of the left rear fender so I made some repairs to it until the neighbors complained about my sanding & grinding . Unfortunately, they live directly across the driveway from my garage. It's a lovely warm SoCal day, 70 degrees and everyone has their doors and windows open so it sounds like I'm grinding in their living room . I'm empathetic but how am I supposed to get any work done?? Argh!! No epoxy today....
Anyway, here are some pics of what I did:

I guess some metal damage had to be expected right? But nice job on the repairs!! Sorry to here about the neighbors, that'll be a tough one if the issue escalates! We'll keep our fingers crossed that peace and harmony will reign supreme! :3dSMILE: Thanks for the pics & update!
Oh well, if that's all the damage on a 74 YO body, not a big deal. I'm a ways from there, and I have more rot and damage then that. You did leave one photo out - that of the PO'd, upset and irate neighbor.
:) Randy. I know it's a pipe dream but, there's a nice rod show in Burlington, VT September 23rd to 25th....:) The weather is usually nice, cold in the morning tho'.. Be great to see you there!:3dSMILE: We could probably talk Dave into showing up too!:D**):3dSMILE:
