Well, MIKEY......now that you threw it out there, far be it from me to use nomenclature that you hate so much but once in a while I lose complete control of my fingers and the type whatever they type!

If it's pics you want fellas, here's my day....or week...or whatever.....

Ok, so I hate the method of adding pics on this site! Argh! I wanted to add captions but don't know how to do that.
So, we'll go with what we have:
As a refresher, you may remember my truck got smacked by an idiot who fell asleep while driving down my street. His '06 Toyota Solara was totaled and my truck sustained significant damage to the left corner of the bed and various other parts. The insurance company wanted to total mine, too and pay me as if it was a gardener's truck, but I fought them on it and they paid me for damages and I don't have a salvage title. Yay!

Since my old bed had rust in the front, new damage on the left rear, and right side had heavy bondo, I decided to look for a good replacement bed. Decent '64-66 F100 short beds are really hard to find! But I finally found a decent one. The bed floor is solid except the some previous owner felt the need to drill 21 drain holes in it....

Thus pic 1 - I spent the morning welding up many of those unnecessary holes.

pic 2 - I attached little pieces of copper to the top side of the bed floor with a magnet and welded the holes from the back side.

pics 3,4,5 - The I coated the underside of the bed with the Hy-Tech Metal Shield product that is shown in the pic. I bought it a few years ago for my '37 but decided to try it out on this.

    More pics in next post....
