Barn Find

Went to a graduation party today for someones son . It was my wifes brother who rents a farm house with out buildings on the property. Took pics down to show father in law the work on the Model A . Wifes brother then tells me of old 29 or something in the building. So i said you have something old and didnt tell me before. We go to the building and inside is a 1929 Plymouth 3 window . This car had no rust out in sheet metal . Light scaling of rust at some seams is all. So i proceed to ask about buying . He has a friend coming to look at the car and has allready contacted owner in texas she is 80 years old . I will have to take cam back tommorrow just to get pics of this rare beauty . and if he cant come up with cash ($1000) i think i may have a chance to get this clean barn find.

i say that one too.....i heard about a model t yesterday that someone took ownership on due to non pay on a rental unit ...i have a shot at that one on monday......wife doesnt know though

Some guys fall into it and come out smelling like a rose! While I was at mid-America nat's in Springfield this year I offered the "Show Me" body people one or possibly 2 testicles in trade for one of thier 32 roadster bocies...They declined but admitted they had never had that offer in 25 years of selling glass bodies. Can't blame a guy for trying.

It would take some hugging and dinners to keep it but no room actually. Im still in debate to sell the stang to open other bay up. But if it falls thru for this guy cash wise i will have a my chance .

Brick id do the same for another garage LOL.

Don think I"ll buzz down one night this week . The pics in them selfs will be priceless. One of those true barn finds still sitting undisturbed.

I know this isn't exactly the same, since it isn't a car, but my dad had a friend (I know the guy too) who is totally gone, just not the sharpest pencil in the box anymore ya know. Years and years ago he is at some party and out in the barn there is a P51 Mustang. Long story short, he was so tore up he couldn't remember where he was at when he saw it!!! My dad was a private pilot and was mad at him.

Same guy now has a house about 20 minutes away from me, place has about a 4000sq. ft. garage (Yes, I have garage envy like you wouldn't believe). and in it with a couple of old Lincoln Mk3's, in pristine condition, is a pre-30 (can't remember year) Model T Truck in absolute amazing condition. I mean I didn't see any rust, has original interior. I have never seen anything like it.

This guy is THE fell in it and came out smelling like a rose idol. Hell, he even owned a cobra once, was an original that got wrecked in a race, had a replica body on it. some people are so lucky it just makes you want to spit. :D
