Well, I saw an S10 for sale on the way home from our other house today, got me thinking about a El- Cheepo rod, somthing I could do. I need somthing for a daily driver anyway ( Turbocharger, no choke, and no manifold heat wont cut it in the winter, so the Falcon's Out ). I got thinking, If I bought a cheap S10, I could yank the front fenders/ everything, remove the doors, cut the front half of
the cab roof off, leaving just a little of the pillars get a second cab, cut it off so it's just long enough that when replaced to the cut cab's roof, str8 pilliars can come down to meet the original remaining pillars to remove the windshield slant. modify the channel to fit flat glass. remove rear glass, and sheet in with steel and a Mail slot window. remove factory dash, and steering colum, create a fiberglass flat 30's style dash, and a basic steering colum. then, slide cab back on frame, create a 30's looking cowl out of metal and create a new firewall, cut out old. make engine resess into firewall to original spot. add a wood flatbed/ nicely done stake bed, and voloia, a basic hotrod. I'm probably going to do this 1, once the Falcon is done, and Chevy is mostly done.
