I'm Back! And I Have A New Project.

I was a regular poster here when I was building my 32 Ford roadster. But once it was finished I kind of drifted away.

At the urging of Don (IToldYouSo) I have updated my registration and I'll be posting again from time to time.

My new project is a 1926 Model T 2 door sedan.

I'm using an all aluminum Olds 215 motor out of a 61 F85 adapted to a small bell housing 700R-4 transmission.

The chassis is something I fabricated out of 2"x5" and 2"x3" rectangular tubing.

My goal is something that is both unique and clearly a traditional hot rod. With the exception of the motor and transmission, and the 46 Buick steering gear and column, all of the mechanicals will be 48 and earlier Ford.

Body is clean bib must have been put up awhile . Looking good too in the primer what color combo you going with .

Body came out of a barn in Mintesota. When I got it there were remnants of the original interior. And behind the cardboard backer in the left rear corner I found a genuine rats nest made out of upholstery cotton batting. And in that spot the body was rusted through. I also had rust where the body met the subrails. But compared to others I have seen, mine was in excellent condition.

The plan is "Bengal" red mechanicals, wheels, and suspension. Body will be grey with a black top. The seat will be red T&R and the kick and door panels will be aluminum. Some of the "back side" sheet metal will be exposed and it will be painted with grey and black spackle (trunk) paint.

Colors sound great but i'm a fan of gray in general . Also glad to see another build going on i'm getting my knowledge and ideas from all the guys here .

I checked out all your build pics. Car looks great. Clean,well thought out fab work, too.

The 2x5 tubing gives your frame some depth. More like a duece frame.
