Woodlite?
So what's the big deal with Woodlite headlites? Do they have superior lighting charicteristics? Is it an eliteist thing? Or is it just the funny shape that people like?

My guess as for your question, it's to be "different", not unlike the mini-trend in E&J lights, and even the more frequently seen Guide lights, particularly with the marker light on top. The Guides have an authentic history with early period rods, and maybe the E&J to a degree, but I don't recall ever seeing one with Woodlites. Probably was done by someone who thought it was neat at one time or other, but it didn't become any kind of trend. They were pretty much a late '20's through mid '30's thing on higher end cars.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
