1940 Ford front axle brake parts..where???
I'm sure this question may have been asked and the hot rod guru's have a website or phone # memorized.....but, I can't seem to find what I am looking for.
Wondering where the best / easiest place to find brake parts for a 1940 Ford front axle? I am looking for pretty much a whole new set up. I thought someone would sell a brake shoe(s), cylinder and drum kit? Maybe not?
Could be a website or part #'s available at a local carquest or napa?
Edit: Just looking to replace the stock drum brake assemblies, no discs or anything.
Thanks in advance, MattLast edited by buckroseau; 02-13-2008 at 06:15 PM.

You talk about parts, and "whole new setup", so here's the whole setup going to self energizing system; New Ford Bendix style Brake Backing Plates, Hand Brake Kits, Water Shields,
Individual parts at Mac's; http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsortYour Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Speedway has these now also, complete and ready to bolt on.

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
