New style roadster body from Texas?
I was at a show the other night, and a friend was there with a car he just picked up. It was drawing quite a crowd, due to it's aggressive looks. (Sorry...no camera that night)
He said they were being made in Texas. It's a 'glass body, which looks like a 26-27 roadster, deeply channeled between the rear fenders, stretched hood with a low rounded scoop, a very short '32 grill, and has full T fenders out front.
The look of the car reminds me of the Super Gas T roadsters seen in drag racing a while back. Neat car!
Anyone know anything about them?

Exactly like that.....only a rich blue!
I thought it looked like some older racecars! This explains why.
The owner is having me put some billet vents in the hood sides, and restyling the scoop.

The Don Davis car with the long hood and the rear body treatment reminds me of a Warren Brogie '27 Super Gas car that he built back in the early '80s, it's tough looking!!!
HRP, can you get us some pics of your friend's car?

Eventually I'll post some. The body, grill and suspension are identical to the ones I posted. I don't remember the wheel style.

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
