Mr. Blue how's the boat coming along? Any thoughts to a start date on the 5 window 32?
Hey there,
Boat is coming along. In true boat fashion I pulled both prop shafts and props off the boat. I was just going to have the props refurbished before the other engine went in. WELL it turns out the props were two different sizes and the prop shafts did not have one straight spot on them! Like a driveshaft in a car i would have had a heck of a shake when I throttled up! So thanks to pops marine connections (thanks dad) both shafts are being made for me and should be done today or tomorrow and both props are being redone to the correct pitch also. A pain in the neck job getting them out of the boat, but worth it to make it reliable. Both stuffing boxes are being rebuilt too so the boat wont sink with 30 year old hardware below the water line. As far as the 32 goes I hope to find some parts and pieces to start that at the turkey rod run this month. Heading there with pops and Dan. I am looking forward to a break from project deadlines for sure. This boat has been 8 months of deadlines hoping to hit the water (Which has not happened yet) Looking forward to a rum and coke on the aft deck soon! Thanks for asking Steve:D
