Don won't see your question for a while, I know he is playing tonight, so I'll answer Jim. He would love steel (Brookville) but they are a little pricey..........ok, A LOT pricey.:D We talked about options and he said when the time comes to buy one he was going to ask opinions on here as to who makes a good quality 5 window body.
Don
OK. I know where there is a 'glass five-window that has been sitting for a while. I will find out if it's for sale and, if so, I'll get details (brand, price, etc.) and let you know. It's in Indiana...:o
Well, I do have my little utility trailer, and Indiana can't be all that far away. :):)
Oh oh, I just looked at Mapquest.........it IS that far away!!:LOL: But it won't hurt for you to ask. Thanks Jim.
Don

Sorry for the late reply. I played in the Florida keys all weekend with the band lots of fun though (got back about 4:30 this morning) Poor me right???:) If any of you get a chance check out our band site www.debandthedynamics.net We do all soul, motown and blues.
Yes Dad is correct, I am going to go with a glass body as I don't think steel is an option with the expense. Even a good glass body is going to run $8-$10K unless I find a deal somewhere. I would love to find a "unfinished project" but I think I will end up starting with the frame first to get some progress going. I really want a nice body (driprails, cowl vent, etc) and I see most of the bodies out there have hidden hinges, power windows, etc which is not the look I am going for. Many of the glass bodies I see are very smoothed out looking. No bites on the tbird yet on Craigslist. Still working on that part of the puzzle. :3dSMILE:
Hey Don I used to work really close to there on Big Pine Key, at a place known as Seacamp or Newfound Harbor Marine Institute! Loved to catch blues bands when ever we could!:D
Don, Good luck on building the car - Keep us informed.
Good to see another musician here. I'm also one and perform in an Irish Band called Erin Rogue... Check us out at www.erinrogue.com

Stovens,
we played at Parmers resort on little torch key for their 1st blues, music festival. It was a great time with awesome accomodations. First class. We had dinner at the "No name bar" very close to there. Cool place with dollar bills hanging everywhere (walls and ceiling) Neat laid back vibe:)
Jerome,
Great site for your band! Yeah My dads dad played Sax, dad plays sax, brother dan plays sax and so do I. We play about 5-6 nights a week depending on whats going on so it keeps me busy! Love doing it though although it does cut into my "hot rod building time":CRY: Been playing out (not including school) for 20 years. It sure went quickly! Good luck with your group, neat music.:)
Thanks to all for the great "Graffiti" site links and unfinished projects, etc. you have been posting and all of the helpful advice. Don Jr.
The no name pub was our hang out for years back in the late 80's. They had beers from around the world, and the best Pizza I ever had. A guy named Roy was the owner. Every month he'd have a pig roast with some band playing. He also had a great old jutebox that had Jefferson Airplane Go ask Alice on it! What memories!:D
When your done you'll need to come out here for Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti. It's a hot rod show/much more. They filmed most of the cruise seens here! Here is a link

Stovens,
that was a cool bar, looks like not much changed in there for years.
That Graffiti show in Petaluma looks great. That will be a must see destination when the coupe gets finished (provided we get it finished!):LOL:
