nomad, plain and simple. 2dr with a wagon rear. I just hope theyput out the new concept.
Easy question for me, the 56 Ford ranch wagon. My dad had one and so did my uncle. Id have to scrap the y-block though and put in a 289/302 sb ford.
nomad, Nomad, NOmad, NOMad, NOMAd, NOMAD!!!!!!!!!
Otto

Abe:
AHHHHHHHHHHHH That car is just like all the new concepts:eek:
In 1954 Chevrolet displayed the Nomad prototype. This was basically a 54 Corvette with the Nomad back. Because of its popularity Chevy rushed to get the Nomad to the market choosing to use the new 55-style body instead of the Corvette. These 2-Door Nomads from 55-57 (and their Pontiac Safari counterparts) were a nice twist of style and sport on the wagon frame and are some of the most desirable wagons by today's collectors.
How about this one?

Hah!!! Nomad, schmomad!:3dSMILE:
Nomad, i like the nomads.
Not every concept car is killed off the production line. The orinional nomad was killed, the toranado wasnt modified much, the javilin wasnt modified much, the delorian had an engine swap, but otherwise was unchanged, the lesabre wasnt changed, even if the power roof did suck, the new marauder diddnt change except for the 5.4 to 4.6 swap. Granted, it wasnt the greatest performer, but the ideas there. Im just hoping for the nomad, the SS and the Jeep concept. The big one, not the little gay one. I hope the front of the corvette DOES change, and I hope ford makes the mustang more powerfull. Sorry, Im rambiling.
I've always liked the weird stuff. I like the Edsel wagons, especially the 2-dr wagon.

The Ford 2dr Ranch Wagons are kewl, might be a couple coming up for sale later this month. That Edsel would be double kewl if the vertical part of the grille was redone, a top chop, slam it,......................... etc. etc. etc.
I like a 59 Chevy kingsman, I thought the horizontal fins looked cool
Or the ultra rare Chevy 1951 Stealth Wagon :3dSMILE:
Hey Viking, that '51 must be fast, too. By the time I looked at the pic, it was gone!!! Guess it must be faster than a speeding bucket, eh????
he he he , you know it Dave :3dSMILE:
OK Guys,
Here is my 2cents! There have always been Fords & Chevys in our family, until recently. My Dad had been searching for a 58 Nomad wagon for almost a year.
Meanwhile I was searching for something different! Found a 57 Buick Century "Caballero" SWG & she's now in the garage.
1st one I'd ever seen and production was less than 11 thousand (for only 1 year, I think, still learning info). It's long, lean, & loaded with chrome/stainless, & it's a 4-door hardtop!
Started working on her and have to replace 1 floor pan and ball joints and she'll be ready to hit the pavement for spring. Cosmetics will come later.
So now a 57 Buick wagon is my favorite!
I'd love to have a Nomad, but I would also like to have an Edsel Bermuda wagon. Now that was excess in every regard. We already have a few Edsel wagons that look alright. But that Bermuda was something else. UGLY, but to the point of being cute.
Thanks, that fixed it.
Here ya go, 10 minutes in the dryer
