Thanks Bob. I'll be calling them tomorrow.
Don
WOW!! That firewall is great!! sure ties into the interior. That hemi looks real nice too. Thanks for the pics Don. Hope to see the rpu at billetproof.
Wait til you see his Deuce at Billetproof, it will knock your socks off. Don't know what he can possibly do next to improve it, but he keeps coming up with ways to do just that.
Looking forward to seeing you again too John.
Don
Same here Don.That is if i can find you this year.
You young guys have too much energy, you keep moving around. :D:D
Don
WOW!! Does that Firewall and Hemi look great! GEEZ!! I am going to need a minute to calm down**)**)
Awesome job Bill!
Beautiful detailed work!
I had a conversation with Tiger Drylac's rep Dave today, very nice guy and very informative. Bottom line, Tiger Drylac Epo Strong is the filler we will be using. I am going to call the coater tomorrow and see if they use it or can get it. If not Dave said we can buy it directly at about $ 50 a quart kit. It is two part and he says it sands out great with no shrinkage or problems. This is going to make our lives so much easier, I just didn't feel like dragging out the paint gun again. :D:D
Plan is to get the frame done this weekend and drop it off Monday. Getting the frame coated will be a MAJOR step in the finishing of this car, and should spur Dan on once he sees his shiny stuff bolted under it.
I'm excited and it isn't even my car.:LOL:
Don
Don, we're excited for you and Dan, we can't wait to see it!!!
Mike
That's pretty impressive. It's a done deal for us........off to the coater on Monday. :):)
Don
any updates?
how's she lookin?
Hehe, I was sending you a thank you PM when you were posting your question Streetwerkz ! As I mentioned in the other thread, we are very happy with the results. Honestly, I will probably never paint another part, this is such an easy and inexpensive way to do things. I always dreaded dragging out the spray equipment, rigging up ladders and stuff to hang parts from, mixing the paint, and worst of all, the cleanup later. All we did was drop off raw parts and they came back a week or so later all done and wrapped in plastic.
Fort Myers is kinda like a desert when it comes to car related businesses.....we have very few shops here that do custom kinds of work or machine work. But Ameritech Powdercoating is an exception. They do custom bike work and normal stuff like railings, stairs, even huge boat trailers. We were very impressed with the service and end product. I plan on dropping lots of stuff off there in the future.
Thanks again Streetwerkz for all the advice you and everyone else provided.
In case you missed the pictures, here is how the parts came back.
Don
can't wait to see that roller in color, looks like you found someone who knows how to lay the powder down good to.
