Oxidation
Adding oxygen to anything will cause oxidation, right? Seems to me lots of rodders spend hours fighting oxidation, polishing. SOOOO head must be polishing inside his engine every run. Sooo every 5.000 pass is followed witha full tear down, full polish of all moving and nonmoving parts and a reassemble to run another 5.00 pass. Seeems that could take some time. Diamonds and platinum, jewler, gasser or HEADcase. It is all funny.

Maybe he used liquid oxygen like NASA uses liquid oxygen, in an "external" combustion engine like a rocket.

JATO!?
Like the story of the Camaro/Chevelle/Caprice in Arizona that the reservist strapped the JATO rocket to and drove/flew into the cliff Wile E Coyote (Super Genius) style?

Head, You could get out of this whole thing by just saying.............
Gotcha!!!!!!!
Don't do that though. This is fun. Think up something else. Today is my birthday (Thanx) and this has been fun. Thanx again.
By my calculations, if you shaved some weight off that thing and doubled the liquid oxygen you could use it as a time machine? Please take that idea and run with it!!
Got to go. Can't catch my breath(oxygen). Thanx again
P.S. You could design the car in photoshop.

The only conclusion I can draw from this thread is that a lot of you like science fiction. I restrain my full analysis of this string of sausage links to just say that indeed liquid oxygen is dangerous and prone to react with almost anything. Just for the record, absolute zero temperature is believed to be -273.15 degrees C or -459.67 degrees F, so -600 degrees F would seem to be impossible. The closest anyone has come to absolute zero so far is 0.000000000280 degrees K (1 degree K is the same size as 1 degree C). There is even a theorem that says you can't actually get to absolute zero, let alone lower to -600 degrees F. JATO packs and platinum blocks are probably the result an adolescent imagination. Real consideration of such speeds should compare to land speed records of jet cars or other speedsters on the straight track at Bonneville.
