My Factory Five '33 hot rod build
I got my car to the point where it's a roller so I thought I'd post a build thread. I actually started my own website for the build, so you can check that for more detail. (non-comercial)

So far I'm pretty impressed with the engineering and quality.Last edited by Arrowhead; 08-04-2009 at 10:33 AM.

Arrowhead
nice web site. How much welding is involved in the assembly? Looks like a well thought out kit." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Steve - I have actually seen Arrowhead's new project. He'll say that it's nice, but I can attest to the fact that it's beyond nice. The welds are very good quality. The design is extremely strong with good triangulation and reinforcing where needed. There are a lot of tight spaces that will make his life interesting. The body - probably better then most 'glass units, but probably not quite on a par with, say Wescott. The promo car that he is shown in I have seen and it is beautiful. The only worry that I would have - interior space is tight.Dave W

Technically, there should not be any welding required. All brackets are welded on and those that are not, they supply the hardware to screw or rivit on. The only reason you would need to weld is if you choose to modify or install and engine/transmission they do not support or make other modifications.

Hey, that looks like something growing in the corner of my garage. Nice job, George.
This is the 3D file I found while searching for something else, the color is pretty close to my 2nd choice. Yellow is off my list.

The '33 is on the back burner for a couple of months. I'm back working on a '55 TBird for a friend of mine. It's in pretty rough shape, but it will be a good project to help pay for the paint and other goodies I'll need for the '33.

....ahhh you finally posted some pictures for the rest of the folks here to see your progress.
The powder coat chassis really looks better in person tho, but your wiring rats nest- and I thought mine was tough

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
