Thanks Guys I an still on it strong , to get done. still working it almost nightly to keep some things going .
Worked the WS frame some more tonight . Have it almost back to where it should be . I still have a couple low spots , but from building it up with small bead welds from where the rust was , I am getting excited . Getting it done and taking my time to get it right the first time .
I filed the contour on the frame a little , to find what low spots are left tomorrow will be its done day or Wednesday at the latest .

Been a few weeks since I worked on the 31 . Sons wedding in GA. last week end . Then the Mongo Rot cold I have been fighting for more then a week .
I did get a little done tonight on the windshield frame . Then the son and I took out the side wood on the top . Henry didn't plan on this wood being removed was a good job getting it done . It was soft but not rotted out . Will get a new top kit to make it easier . Then the original type vynle will go on .

Well son a neighbor and I got the body off . Clean up the bottom and por15 it . Then I can plumb the brakes in Finish up some welding and get it painted . I am just going with a satin frame paint nothing fancy just clean .
Have to clean the rear end , paint , freshen engine ,paint get all the front suspension painted . Figure 3 days on engine its a low mileage one and a hard week end prepping and painting .
I ordered a New Top Wood kit because I am going to have the original vynle top reinstalled . I think that look is what will give it some class .

Last couple days been on the rod . Since I changed from the T-5 to a AOD I
had to redo the trans mount . I used a 65 Mustang trans cross-member works great .
I also did some pre measuring and placed in the master cylinder . Maybe now I can get some brake plumbing done . Work in reverse back to the cylinder this way I think it will be easier to strip and paint . Master may be off a little since I did it with the body off but it will be close . I will get it perfect once the body is back on .

I like the look of the stock type roof, Bobby... It's actually more work then filling the hole, but on a sedan it just looks right! The whole project is coming along great! One more customer car to get finished up, then I get to spend some time on my stuff for a change! Maybe both of us get some cruizin' in this summer, Bobby!
Dave I sure hope to get some seat time in . The mustang and A are so close . I do drive the mustang around my street though :D. No glass , paint , or interior but its fun .
Few weeks back I took my 37 to the guy that worked on my A . He said I should get it back by winter all sheet metal done and suspension in .
I hope you get some seat time in the maro or Ranchstang been keeping a eye open here .
Maybe the 'maro...Ranchero is at least a couple years and a bunch of thousands of dollars away... For sure the pickup, should have it running sometime this week.... Then I get to rearrange my little garage, and make room for the '37 Plymouth so I can get back on it full time---which leaves the 'maro and Ranchero back in the corner----again.
Still have the Buick on the updated frame to ?? 37 Plymouth don't remember this one at all .
Nothing wrong with real money :) . So you still banging at the shop .
Ok a little more update the wood kit I ordered came in . It was made by a master cabinet maker getting into this end . His templates where done from pieces already fit to a car and they sure fit like a glove .
So tonight I finished off getting the header out since I had already done the sides . The header fits snug and in place just like the sides , I am stoked no sanding to fit the pieces in .

Are you going to leave the wood frame work inside, or go with steel?
I have a 30 Chevrolet sedan and the wood is shot. Mine is a hot rod and I am told that I have to go with steel in place of the wood for safety. Your thoughts?
I have a 1930 Chevrolet sadan which has a wooden interior frame that is rotten. I am told that I have to replace it with steel instead of a wood kit for saftey sake. Your thoughts?
