406Rich,
Beautiful 37. Does the 406 describe the size engine you are running; if so, what brand?
Jack.
-
Sweet ride, 406!!! Sorry I don't have any info on your front end. I'm running Mustang II in mine.
Randy

Thanks Randy, and Jack yes it is 406 chevy smblock, stock bottom end four bolt, its a soft block, only cause that is what was laying around at the time of the buildup, also 202 fuelies, that have been with me now for some 35 years, 7/16 screw in studs, roller rockers, flycut spring pockets for 1.8 spring diameter, mild port (bowls) unshrouded valves, manley street valves, unilite dist, edelbrock RPM, holley 670, sig erson gear drive, really dated but does build power for all it needs.
-
Rich ?? Now that is some serious machine your sporting there . How long did it take and how clean was body when you found it .
-
Mainly surface rust, still need to readdress some of the floor issues, not rusted thru but could poss replace it, and the rear valance at the bumper where it ties into the trunk needs some work still, it was a five year push, first engine was out of a 68 impala 307/turbo350, just ripped it out of the donor car and dropped it in til I finished a lot of other things, the turbo 350 was gone thru when I built the 406, and both installed the same time, ford eight inch, with a `67 carrier, 324 posi, home made harness, which is now being updated from ez-wire and some new gauges this year.
-
Bobby, I knew this one would be some inspiration for ya.....except for that Chevy engine, of course....LOL! Yours will look like this one someday!
-
Well hope someday is sooner LOL . Should be lined up for sheet metal this year . Well Randy although we bleed true blue a nice car is a nice car even with Chevy power no offense Rich just chomping :D

-
Now that's cool first I ever seen of this . Even Dave S. will get a kick out of it . The look and stance is so good and I like the no chop top also .
-
Hey how wide is rear and what wheel off set did you use and tire size , They are in place just like I want . Now if I could figure out the front 2 inch drop or stock I will be set with the MII.
-
The rear was 61 wide wheel mounting flange to flange, I`ll have to get back to you on the wheels, memory tells me they are eight wide with a 5 inch offset but I`ll need to check to be sure, they memory thing is to full, I`ve purged a lot of of my head.
-
Mine purges with out trying LOL . Cool I have a 59 1/4 wms to wms for my 37 . I have a set of 7 wide with a 4 inch off set for the back should fit nicely .
-
that's a real cool lookin '37! I hope my '35 sits about the same as that

What front suspension you running 35fordcoupe...?
I chose the magnum weedeater axle, 5.5 drop, with disc`s, vega box thru a GM column, 15 inch rims, rides excellent, no bump steer, only problem is the split wishbone, too low for my scrub line,( speed bumps and they don`t get along) I want to change to radius bars to the side rails maybe next year.
