I removed the seams and widened the rear 3" then chopped and widened the rear window 1"
I'm pleased how the rear pan turned out. The rear is all tacked and now starting on firewall.
Doors next
I'm looking forward to lots of welding and grinding
are those old school slot mags or rebops?
that car is looking cool.
it WILL be one sweet ride.
I will keep checking for updates.
Later**)
The slots & tires are some that I've had lay'n around for years
Here is a lesson in lead
Nice work....Keep us updated..
Most of the fabrication is done.
I must say that I'm pleased how the doors came out.
The hinges, latches and inner door panels were the biggest challenge.
My saving grace were the Model A door hinges I got from Blue Chip Engineering. They are steel rather than cast iron or bronze so I was able to modify them as needed.
still lots of finish welding and grinding to do
Cool. Clever place for the battery! Nice work on the body. I know how much time and work is needed for these old steel bodies, not to mention all the chopping modifications!
This is the most famous Austin in the UK, built 1977 ish
