AmeriCARna 2010
We have just finished a reasonably fast paced AmeriCARna 2010..Started Wednesday, and is finishing tonight,Saturday. We were just a little bit tired tonight,so didnt bother going back into town for the Saturday night feed and revelry...Must be getting old,nah just had enough of late nights..It all started on Tuesday afternoon for me with the arrival of five cars from an Auckland club, turning up for a peek in my workshop, and hasnt really stopped, including Barry Meguiar and the car crazy film crew shooting miles of footage in Auckland,as well as here in New Plymouth. Will post up some more pix over the next few days,We took over 300..
To whet your appetites, here is a link for some pix...

Some very nice cars on the cruise, thanks for the link!!! The Superbird really caught my eye--as they always do--got to be a blast to go cruizin' in it!!! Looks like the Tri-five chebbies are very popular, too! Some really excellent examples on the cruise!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave, the tri 5s are very popular down here, there are some excellent examples around,I think the ones that stood out for us were a arrow straight, black 57 2 dr h/top,and a really nice orange and mushroom metallic/pearl two door sedan..We will put up some of our own pix sometime today.
That superbird was a nice car,,wouldnt mind another Mopar..Micah 6:8

Guess Who..
We had the Car Crazy team down here after their little stint in Auckland, and I had a chat to Barry Meguiar, very nice guy, very talkative, and very impressed with our car scene..Also quite kool about getting his photo taken with the natives...We got a polish man leanin against our non gloss truck...
The place was hummin, had quite a nice bunch of cars roll in afterthe main play of the day,so to speak..Wouldnt mind these up my driveway full time..
And lining up out on the road, with Mount Egmont straight ahead..

It never ceases to amaze me how American "car culture" has spread around the globe, with particular hot spots down your way, Oz, and Sweden (and I guess Japan too). Enjoying the pics......Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
