I've never been blown away by the looks of the 1967 Galaxie.
I recently saw a 1967 Custom 500.
Wow, was a four door and I really liked it. Much better looks in my opinion, etc.
What was the difference between them?
(yes I googled it and didn't really get a satisfactory answer).

Drew, you've come to the right place to get an intelligent answer. I, however, am not the one to give it to you. The basic difference between the two is that one is a Galaxie and the other is a Custom 500. Hope this clears it up for you.:3dSMILE:Quote:

I do know my trucks, with the F-series custom meant base model. All my trucks were 'custom' which basically meant that there was power nothing, no trim, no AC and your boots would start to melt to the floor board after 100miles, just a work truck.
The styling differences were subtle between the two cars.
Maybe I just have bad taste.

The Custom, Custom 500, Galaxie, Galaxie 500 and galaxie 500 XL were trim and option levels on Fords Full size cars (listed in order with the customs being the bottom of the line). As I recall the Customs and Custom 500s could only be had in a sedan body style while the Galaxies could be had either in Sedan or hardtop versions.
The Customs generally had a "cleaner" look due to having less flash on the outside.
There were a few Galaxie sedans but I never saw a custom hardtop. The same was true of Fairlanes in the 50s vs Custom 300sQuote:
