where is this thing going to go??? lucky, I was at Byron--where there is a one lane road off the far end that goes further south down near the nuclear plant that is south of the track---so pointed the Monza for the road and started shutting things down and gently tapping the brakes---get things shut down and it is quiet except for funny wind noise--
took a ways to get stopped as that road isn't as clean as the track and bumpy---
get it under control, lite it back up and turn around and drive back to the track turn off road, stop, get out to pick up chute and it is laying in a nice folded arrangement on the wheelie bars---windshield chrome trim ( back then cars were stocker, no carbon fibre or lexan) was blown loose and folded back around and over top( strange wind sound or maybe my a** was sucking air, or both) distance I went and rpm tattle tale figure it was near/over 190 maybe 200----
Got a driver not too long after that
PS--it was a Simpson chute just like yours and I think the same wheelie bars except my springs where at the top
