Attention 40/41 Willys owners

I'm going to release the new fibreglass Willys body i'm doing onto the UK market in the next few weeks and i want to put together a demonstrator body so will be needing various detail pics if anybody can help ?

First off i need detail pics of the door hinge and door handle placement, measurements would help too

Also windsheild wiper placement please.

I'm aware there are differences between 40 & 41 and need to find out what they are ???

The body that it has been moulded from is supposedly a 41, Its been moulded off a american fibreglass body as Willys aern't exactly common here in the UK. the reason being that there has been a couple moulded here over the years but the panel fit is appalling, the doors don't even fit the apertures :eek:

The wipers are at the bottiom of the screen but the screen opening looks slightly small which made me think it may of been a mixture of the 2 years.
I knew about the wiper placement and screen opening, but as the 2 didn't match up i thought i would ask here.

I'm trying to get this all correct hence why i asked for detailed pics and measurements.

Wow Steve, if this takes off you really need to get one of these bodies into the States for a broader audience. Someplace where lots of potential buyers could see it. Someplace warm so it can be displayed year round......like the South Florida area. Someplace where a few hot rodders could build a chassis for it and drive it to some events, big ones, like maybe TURKEY RUN!:eek::D

To be honest Don i don't expect to sell many more than 6 or 7 in the UK as our hotrod market is quite small but i guess you never know. If i sell 4 i have my initial outlay back.

My plan is to build a basic frame and get the body mounted with hinges, locks, window mechanisms etc etc in place so that people at shows can see how to do it all, Then once my 26T is done i will build it as a gasser, Not sure what engine yet but i have a choice of a 384 Olds or a 401 Nailhead or a 500 Caddy in my engine store at the moment.

I'm thinking gloss light grey and the same stance as the Willys in the film Hotrod, What do ya think ???

having owned 6,1941 willys the only changes that i know of is the grille and nose section .BUT they were all glass cars .

Also you might contact Bob Worrall...cobrabobmo@hotmail.com He is a St.louis,Mo. member of that group.Although he owns an Anglia he can put you in contact with Bob Mitchell who owns a 40 coupe and a 40 pickup or Tom Cray who owns a 40 coupe. I'm sure that Bob Mitchell could tune you up on your questions.

Could also be that you are talking FIBREGLASS...Not traditional enough for some of them...And some of those knob ends are from down here...:(
