As another one who has "hardly any money", no, I'm not a member, it's hard to tell from the pic if it is a poorly built ugly car or a well built ugly car. Actually, if it is a well built car some of the uglyness goes away.:HMMM::rolleyes::)

Like all forums , the good ,bad and the ugly. I am a member and Ryan lives in Austin. The membership is unreal and forum participation is the most I have ever seen , with pages of today communication. A lot of old school abounds with a world of diversity. A very talented group of Hot Rodder's.
You should come to Austin and see some of the shows they put on, it will blow your mind. **) **)
Ryan and I have had a few heated discussions, but still remain friends. :D
dmw, Since when is having an opinion bashing? Maybe if you mean that a person has a different opinion and voices that it's bashing. Maybe everyone should hold the same opinion.
Never once on any talk forum including the HAMB and many, many others have I ever noticed a lack of opinions pro and con. It sorta goes along with the whole Hot Rod scene. Don't you think? As a matter of fact the HAMB may be one of the worst for bashing and putting folks down. I frequent that board almost every day, and have no plans what so ever to stop going there as a member because someone doesn't like what is said about some of the cars on there.
Face it there are a lot of very well built and thought out cars on the HAMB. There is also a lot of pure de junk there as well. What board including this one is any different? Should everyone stop commenting on the cars here and stop participarting because a comment would or might be considered a "BASH".

That's the same reason I am no longer on the HAMB.
I'll never forget the time on the HAMB I was being lectured about my observations of what old timey rods were like. (I got obsessed in '58, and never stopped) Out of curiousity, I checked the guys profile. He was 17 years old. :-)~
Truth is I love all kinds of cars... but not all kinds of people. Especially the ones who are always rude and unfriendly. That stops being fun real quick.
The new members who act that way here, get an equally rude invitation to leave. Please keep doin' that! :-)
I'm a member also. If I could I would take it back. Alot of those guys are clueless and rude at times others are OK. Thats just life!
That is not a HAMB friendly car( RatRod TV,yeah!),I have been on the HAMB for quite sometime for the most part nothing but good experiences there,in May of '09 I founded the 1952-56 Ford social group we are now over 480 members worldwide,as moderator I only smacked a hand with a ruler once in that time.In a perfect world everyone would be respectful of others,the world is not perfect.If someone wants to be an ass thats their problem,just don't waste your time catering to them.
I don't get what that car and the HAMB have in common? What makes you think it would be a car that would be accepted there? Evidently, you have some hard feelings about the HAMB, but to just post a goofy picture and somehow relate it to them is, well, just goofy. :confused:
While I agree that sometimes some of the members there can be a little brutal, the majority are decent rodders who just like a certain type of car and want that forum to remain dedicated to that one area. Can't blame them for that. As for the comment about Hardly Any Money, I don't think you really know who some of the members there are. There are guys on there who have been doing this before most of us were born, and who have had numerous magazine features and show cars under their belts. There are craftsmen there who do metalwork that is pure art. Some VERY heavy hitters in the industry are members, and even Jay Leno is rumored to be a member.
No, I think your post falls on unsympathetic ears here, I too am a HAMB member (but don't post there out of respect for my Son who is active there. I don't want the old man interfering with the only forum he is on) and the Alliance discount saves me a ton of money on the parts I buy. Sorry guy, you were just a little out of line on this one.
