I don't think you can beat the kit from Carolina Customs, at the bottom of the page here :

I have one on my '33 - the whole assembly is out of sight when the hood is in place, and it's easy to remove - easier with two people (one on each side so the latches don't re-hook on you), but manageable with one.
I need the same thing for my 34 Ford. That Carolina Custom one looks nice but very pricey!
i used the bracing on the under/front of the hood and the top of the radiator bracing....drilled a hole in both and ran a push-pin thru....now i just reach thru where the side curtains used to be and pin it....on my 39 ford truck thats almost complete...take a look
Thanks for the suggestion, the push pin is that like a hood pin?
P.S. Awesome truck, I espically like the grille and firewall.
Now, if I (we?) could figure out a good way to hold down my center hinged hood with something besides bungee cords or those @#$% leather straps that have seemed to have popped up everywhere lately. I was originally planning on running the full hood with Dzus fasteners, but never got around to fitting things up before painting the tops. I haven't painted the two hood sides yet, but really don't even want them on now.
Now that I've hijacked the thread, any suggestions beyond some you folks suggested a year or so ago:HMMM::D
This solution isn't for everyone, but I used a bear claw latch on my 37 LaSalle. The hood has been modified so that it flips forward, so I installed the bear claw latch on the firewall. It holds nice and tight.
