Ford Model Y pickup 1935
Hi
Here is my "new" car.
It's a Ford model Y from 1935, everybody says it's a fordor converted to pickup but i'm not 100% of it yet or at least when it was done. at least since the 60's it has this shape.
It has a small 4 cylinders engine and 3 speeds. The brakes are not hydraulic and it's a 6volts.
What do you think of this? It's worth keep working on it?
Here is a video of it running for the first time.

I'd agree it looks like a conversion, but pretty nicely done. If you enjoy it you should keep goin' on it.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Best part of that video is your smile at the end of your ride!

Gotta agree with Uncle Bob and Mike, it's a neat vehicle, conversion or not, and it is obviously fun for you. Looking forward to seeing more of it as you finish it. That second video is nicely done, too! From the looks of it may be closer to "done" than it appeared in the first one?Last edited by rspears; 11-11-2013 at 05:55 AM.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

That might be a wartime conversion, the government would allow extra rations for fuel and tires if you had a truck/pickup and used it for the war effort. You an still find lots of coupes with the trunk converted into a pickup bed. Whomever did your conversion did a top job and thats a keeper.
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
