sounds like its hot. but it would be hotter with a hemi in it, haha.nice to see something other than a sbc!!
I think its more like a modified sports car. I remember an MGA with a 283 with 3 deuces sticking out of the hood back in the 60's, and I think Cobras might have been sports cars at the first. However about anything we change from factory stock and hop up could be called a hotrod. Now how about a Shay or a Prowler?
Different strokes for different folks. Jam a large engine in an old car. Build it in a junkyard. Make it purrrty. Make it fast, real fast.
Personally I think a Viper, Corvette and Prowler are more of your modern day Hotrods. A modern engineered car as a whole. Not an import with an engine swap.
said before-first picture says not way, not a chance...
second pictures say heck yeah!!!
isnt hot rodding all about making something old and slow go fast for cheap?
taking that 32 donor and shoving that brand new flathead into it from moms wrecked car?
taking the 6 out of the 55 your grandpa got rid of cause he got the brand new 60 and grabbing some leftover hemi or other V8 and shoving it in.
Call it what you want; it probably stomp the dog crap out of a lot accepted "Hot Rods."
I think just because it ain't made in the USA, it is not a valid reason to say it's not a HOTROD. Heck half of the cars nowdays are assembled in Canada and Mexico, even though they claim to be USA cars, and half the parts are from over seas. Last check my Toyota truck was assembled here in California. I agree with Falcovan above's statement!
in the 60s it would have been considered a sleeper. exterior lines way too clean for hot rod.
add to my last post, it is a great looking car
If it sounds like a hotrod, accelerates like a hothod and puts a smile on your face like a hotrod, it probably is a hotrod. A real wolf in sheeps clothing for sure!

Absolutely
Last time I found a great definition of hot rod was , a car that has had the drive train and engine changed to go faster .
.
It's a HOT ROD
