Old 56 Highway Show - Gardner, KS
Today was the makeup day for a show that got rained out back in late April or early May. It was a beautiful cool morning, running to hot by mid-day. Here are some shots of the cars that attended that caught my eye.
My car, parked on the corner cooking in the sun
A COE sitting on a 2003 Envoy chassis:
A very sweet Inglese EFI system -
The guy that owns this nasty '34 is 75 years young.....
And this is his wife's car......
Nice '61
Aussie UTE - NICE!!

Thanks for the pics Roger!!! Your coupe looks great sitting there, the angle on the pipes really sets off the lines on the car!!!!
BTW, is the green Ford in the bottom pic a real Cobra Jet???? Looks nice!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Rare piece!!!! That vintage I think would be a 429 CJ????? Not exactly my favorite color, but nevertheless, a drop dead gorgeous car!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave,
I've seen the car before, and may have other pictures of it on the other computer. I'll see it again, and will take more shots of the engine, etc, for more info. Looks like I missed the "All Ford" show at the Olathe Ford dealer this year, but he'll be around, he's local.Roger

Great pics, Roger!! They have some nice rides hidden away out there in the flatlands!
Yours is looking pretty great, too! Congrats on the trophy!"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
