I bet it's true. I remember a similar deal a while back about the Drake 39/40 coupe shells. Apparently MPI either baught Drake out or something and got Ford MoCo to license it and they were marketing that way. Either way it is a cool deal.
Oh to be 20 years younger - - - I would jump in the middle of that quicker than a minnow could swim a dipper .
I believe this is just a licensing agreement between Ford and United Pacific.
The bodies are being stamped overseas and assembled here.
They appear to be a very quality piece with a price tag of around $20,000.

It's pretty cool how many different steel bodies are being repopped now a days.
I know 57 Chevys and 69 Camaros are being made. Probably more.
It's indeed cool, but they sure get that total build cost headed to the moon in a hurry. Dropping $25K to $35K (or more, depending on how far you go - Brookville's '32 3 Window body alone is $25K....) on a new steel body is a springboard to an upper five figures build, or well into the six figures if a guy's paying to have it done. Not sure how United Pacific is going to get the quality they want with China stampings, but gotta admit their offering looks fantastic - 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe Catalog Looks like Edelbrock used body 001 for their 75th Anniversary Coupe that Brizio did for them.Quote:
