Torque required to install ball joints
I have new Moog 719 threaded ball joints and bought sleeves from local race shop that are supposed to match. They are the "small chrysler" screw in type. Reading the Moog ball joint instructions it says that it should take at least 125 ft lbs of torque to seat the ball joint housing into the control arm. If it takes less, then the control arm should be replaced. These I have sleeves (made by Left Hand) freely screw on the ball joint all the way down to the shoulder. (with no requred torque at all).
1) Are the sleeves wrong, or am I reading the Moog instructions wrong?
2) If there is min 125 ft-lbs required, can someoen tell me a brand sleeves that will work correctly with my moog 719 ball joints?
Thanks

The instructions are for the stock control arms, ignore them. Your sleeves will be just fine and after you weld them on the control arms it's very likely the ball joints will be a little tighter. When you install the ball joints use a little Red Locktite.
