"A" model Day
Drove the Fairlane to my oldest son's today to take my grandson a tie dyed tee shirt and a sixties psycodelic rock CD that I had made him and my son said "Dad let's get in the car and run over to my neighbors, I have something to show you." I had no idea what it was but I was pleasantly surprised. I must apologize for the pic quality but I didn't have my camera so a friend snapped these with his cell phone so I promise to go back and take better ones when I can.
This 1930 Coupe is in excellent condition but has been in the garage for about 5 years. Prior to that the owner drove it all over the country. He said before he got it from his wife's Dad that it had been completely restored but that was probably 20 years ago. It was dusty but it was BEAUTIFUL and he is planning on selling it BTW.

That's pretty cool! I bet it won't be hard to sell, and it'll probably bring dumb money..............

He told that they gave his F.i.L. 5K for it and I "stupidly" told him it was worth more than that to the right buyer so just hold out until that person shows up. I sure hope to get back over there and get some quality pics. Altho it was covered in dust the Patina showed thru without even brushing it off. I felt up under every fender and the surface was smooth as a baby's butt and no mud or rust. The Mohair interior is still good but "old" and the flattie four didn't look all that bad either. I personally think that someone who knows their A models could have it running in a day cause he said it was running when they parked it 5 years ago. He's even kept the tank filled to stop any condensation. Sure would like to see someone get it and do a mild modification with modern parts but leave it's beauty in tack. It was a real pleasure to be around an 84 year old piece of automotive history for 30 minutes yesterday.
