With some of the goofy brands and tire names, I totally get why you would want to shave it off....Kumho, Grabber, Hankook, etc....:LOL::LOL::LOL: I'm sure some of them are great tires but who decided on those names??? and why would you want a 'raised white letter' version of it???:eek::eek::LOL::LOL:
As for the crocs....yeah, they look pretty goofy but they're pretty comfy...maybe they should make a steel-toe version for the shop...:whacked::3dSMILE:
Didn't shave the Big and littles, shaved the 235 85 16's that I'll be mounting on 16 x 6 steelie's that will be a 2nd set to slap on and change the look of the car when want to.Quote:

Like Don, I have shaved the lettering off of some tires if they were really ugly, but now I have found it easier to buy better looking tires!

Cool trick! I have sanded them on a show car we painted many years ago when I was working in a body shop. It sure was a unique look.
I would think that peeler would end upside the guys head after it grabbed the rubber and became dull, I can see the Roloc disc working well or even sandpaper but I also saw a guy try to cut a piece of foam rubber the size of a pillow on a table saw once, just good thing it was soft when it hit him!
