Anyone have any real world experience with hydra boost brake booster vs a vacuum booster? I don't think I'll have enough vacuum to effectively stop the car :eek:.

I had a big Pontiac wagon that had HydraBoost braking, and it worked just fine. Aftermarket units are not cheap, and they're BIG. Another option is to run an electric vacuum pump for about 1/4 the cost, and you can hide it. There's a rotary drive unit out that's all but silent, and it's probably what I'd use.
If you look at my photo gallery images page 3 photo 626 you will see the size of an unit I put on a 32 ford that I built for a customer------it is a Mustang unit ( forgot what year but late 90s or early 20s-------- system is a winner if your car has power steering which you can use for the boost--------
