Very cool, Dave. I've been trying to talk my wife into a color similar to that.

Very cool, Dave. I've been trying to talk my wife into a color similar to that.
Thought I would put up a couple of pics of my latest progress. I got the body work done on the main body now I just have the four fenders and running boards to do. I didn't get any pics of my hood but it is looking real good.
I had to order some different motor mounts to get my headers to work and wouldn't you know it they still wont work. They clear the motor mounts but not the starter. So I get to call the company Monday to see what they are going to do about it.
Might as well show a pic of my header too I guess.
I like the colour Dave,my bucket was a very similar colour when I got it with gold interior, real 80's style.
So this is a customers car that you have been building??? And here I thought it was for you to enjoy, oh well, maybe the next one will be for you..
Somehow I missed this build,Dave...dont know how..:confused:I like it,,specially with that hemi planted in there..Looks b***** awesome..Like the color too.:cool:Will look the part with chromies..
Body looks great Mr. Smith!!! How are the fenders and boards for the car? Never did have much luck with store bought headers, looks like your luck is doing the same....
Whiplash--I've been telling myself that "the next one" is going to be one of mine...just never seem to have the time to finish one of my own!!!
Lamin8r--Long story on a long build..I do have some pictures in my gallery of the Plymouth in progress. I like the Hemi in the car too, and wait till you see what the next one just like it is going in, more of a challenge....
Thanks for the compliment Dave. I have a feeling they made these headers for a Hemi with the starter on the left side. They make each pair by hand so they should know what they are doing. Unfortunately I don't have the tools or knowledge to make my own like some of us. lol So now that you teased us what is the next Hemi project?
Dave,Gotta get back on your gallery and have another look..and a few of the others too...you guys have some real good stuff up there. Plus I love looking at pix...did I mention that yet???
That new hemi really looks cool in there, Dave. Being a Ford guy, have you though of doing something with one of those late model Ford V-10s?
Nice looking sedan Dave, do they make the harness for that engine now or did you make it yourself? Nice.
I like what you have done on your sedan Mr Smith, what motor?
Thanks Brickman. I also am putting in the 5.7 hemi out of a 2006 durango. And yes you can get engine harnesses for them. A few places make them. Pretty spendy though. I got mine at www.hotrodlane.cc I will let Dave tell you what he did for a harness.
As you can see I built my car around the engine. I guess that is about the only advantage to not having a floor to start with.
Here is a pic of the almost finished firewall.
