56 ford cowl vent air induction
i was wondering if anyone knew anything about hooking the cowl vent near the windshield (1956 ford pickup) up so that it works with the throttle to be used as air induction for the motor?
Thanks, Josh.

It could be done with some duct work to the engine compartment and an air cleaner box connected to it. How about a vacuum switch to open the door?? When the engine accelerates the vacuum would fall off, causing the door to open??? Have fun!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I think Dave has a great idea. I'd try to modify a headlight door actuator be it electric or vacumn. I'd want some control over it though in case of rain.Ken Thomas

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
