i was wondering if anyone knew anything about hooking the cowl vent near the windshield (1956 ford pickup) up so that it works with the throttle to be used as air induction for the motor?
Thanks, Josh.

It could be done with some duct work to the engine compartment and an air cleaner box connected to it. How about a vacuum switch to open the door?? When the engine accelerates the vacuum would fall off, causing the door to open??? Have fun!!!
I think Dave has a great idea. I'd try to modify a headlight door actuator be it electric or vacumn. I'd want some control over it though in case of rain.
