Now there is a prime example of how to limit lip service!
Fellow in our local club has "Its a 39" on his license plate.
Still gets asked occasionally. hmm?
Hey aint that a 35 Bob??....hehe
Oh! I know! its a 2004! thats the new ford mustang-right?
My Galaxie has 69 painted on the doors cause thats the Number I race under, yea thats it, well ppl always say is that yer 69 Fairlane?? No its a 68 Galaxie.
I worked at a BMW motorcycle shop for a while, the car shop next door had a 65 stang for sale, but it was missing a emblem so to fill in the hole we put a BMW logo on her, when a guy came to look at it we told him BMW made the stang for 2 years, he said oh yea thats right, bought the car then picthed a fit when his buddys laughed at him:LOL: "Car Challanged People" AS I like to call them are funny.
Otto
I used to love it when people would come up to me when I had my 38 Plymouth and tell me it looks exactly like the ZZ Top car. Yep, it looks exactly like it alright.
Maybe they were referring to the fact that we both had round tires!Quote:

You have touched on a dismay of mine. My roadster upon a '52
Stude. frame and sundry components, replica of Miller/Allard 1930's vintage.
When questioned by buffoons using THAT term,
this Geezer clams up and heads for coffee.

My 37 has 37 chev for the plate number and the last show I went to I had atleast 6 people ask me "WHAT YEAR IS IT" Guess I'll have to paint the year on the side.
