I've been chastised on the Ford Enthusiast Forum for doing this, so I came here. I'm putting a 327 chevy, 400 tranny and 9" Ford rear in a 52 ford shortbed pickup. The engine mounts have been cut away and home made plates were welded in for a big block chev, now gone. Each plate has only have one mounting hole. Can a 327 w/headers fit? Headers are 1 3/4 inch away from the block. Also, I've bolted in a Toyota power steering box. Now the big question...Is there a universal pitman arm made for the toyota box to the ford drag link? The thought of cutting and welding the top of one to the bottom of the other scares the bejeebers out of me. Any help would be appreciated.
