Need some help with my Falcon

I got the master cyl today and it is the exzact same size shape and will bolt up but, the fitting locations are diffrent, the master that is on the car has both fittings on the side and the new has 1 on the side and 1 bottom front, should I just put this 1 in and rebend the lines or find the exzact 1. The guy at the local parts place ( Carquest ) I got it from only had 2 listings, 1 for a power brakes setup and 1 for manual brakes, I said manual brakes because there's no booster. Should I take this 1 back and go to another parts place such as Napa and get another to try for the same hookup as on the old? My dad said I should ask you guys.

if you can hook up the lines without to much trouble, go for it. if the line comes out the side or bottom makes no dif. :D

I knew that but, my dad was afraid of rebending the line to go to the bottom but I don't think it will be much trouble, he just wanted me to. Could rebending the line break it? theres only 1 line that needs rerouted, the other is good.

you dont have to worry to much about braking the line as you do putting a kink in it. i hope the line is long enough that you can make a long bend with your hands, if not then you will need a tool to do it with and if you have to buy a tube bending tool you might as well see if you can get the right mastercylender. if it goes into the bottom then i think the line should be long enough. :D

Matt, as cheap/common as brake lines are at the local parts store I would buy/bend a new line.

all you need to do matt is eather bend the line you have or do like viking said and get a new one, bend it the way you wont it and then bleed out the brakes.

I looked at the line has 3 fairly large coils into it so bending shoulden't be a problem, but if I break or kink a line, the junction block where the lines go into is no more than 6" from the master but like I said theres 3 coils and putting that new line in woulden't be hard or expensive.

I'll look into those Falcon sites CSF, and the Kanter book, thanks for explaning everything, LT1, CSF and Viking. I think the master I got is a new universal for like a few years of Falcons/ Mustangs because there are 3 fitting spots really, 2 in the side and 1 on the bottom but, the 1 on the side in the front has a silver nipple which kind of looks like a grease fitting but it can't be I don't think and when I compared them next to eachother ( under the hood ), the lines would fit exzact on the new cyl's fitting spots just like original but, what purpose does the silver nipple serve, old cyl dosen't have 1?

Thanks CSF, I got 2 sheets with the new master, instructions and a bleeding sheet, has how to bench bleed it too. I'll go out tomorrow and put some DOT 3 in it and test it like you said and check all lines and wheel cyl's. I'll pump on the brakes and see if any wheel cyl's are wet also. Wheres the rubber you were talking about?

Also, the guy I bought it from said the master cyl was bad but he could be wrong. If theres any thing else wrong, I'll finds it tomorrow.
