86 Camaro Calipers on 79-81?
Does '86 Camaro front brake cailpers bolts right on a GM intermediate 79-81 (Malibu/Cutlass ++) front suspension?

No they don't
Check nastyz28.com for more information on this. 70 1/2 through 81 are second gens and lots of parts interchange. Third gen is a whole different animal.

Why would you want them on that front end Anyway? The 2nd gen are entirely capable. Should you want 80s calipers on your suspension, scalp them from a 82-87 Cutlass. That will be a much easier swap.Right engine, Wrong Wheels

I'm planning on use IFS w/ 79-81 GM intermediate spindles from Jim Meyer Racing on my 34 Raodster project.
A friend of mine offered me a couple of calipers from a 86 Camaro for free. That's why.
But thank you for your answers anyway.
And who knows. Within' a year or so when I start working on the chassis, it might have come another nice lokking IFS on the market using 3rd gen Camaro spindles & brakes!

Calipers
You can get calipers at your local autoparts store for the second gen spindles cheap. Some take them apart, get them powdercoated and they look great. Should work great for your project.

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
