after my 318 went out after 250,000 miles i put a 78 440 in the truck that acually came out of another ram, little did i know at the time this was an emissions era motor with low compression a a small cam, i did have i rebuilt before i put it in the truck as the 78 motor

i did get all the bolt on goodies like hooker headers, msd ready to run distributor, edelbrock performer rpm intake manifold, 750 edel carb and k n air lid and 14 filter, 160 thermo,

since the motor still has a low compression ratio and small cam should i trust the stock rebiuld bottom end with edelbrock 84cc heads and about a 480 lift cam, i THINK the stock heads are 88cc so this would help with the compression ratio without tearing the motor back down

the truck weighs 4400lbs has 4 inch lift 31x12.50 pro comp 3.21 gears

another question 4.10 gears? 373 gears? and should i rebuild the 9.25 axle to handle 400 +hp or go with a dana 60 and would a dana 60 bolt up to the 1/2 ton leafs
