New to SBC's and new to you guys-
Well, I took the dive into Chevy V8's. I now have two SBC Fieros - one has a "Fino" body kit and the other looks stock on the outside. Feel free to take a look at the "Finiero" (Fino + Fiero = Finiero) at www.finiero.com and the 86 Fiero GT at www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/076693.html where you will see that I am overwhelmed with questions about these engines.
I have been working on the Finiero for a while, but just a little at a time - and hardly any on the engine, which is an LM1 crate engine (220 hp? with only 300 miles on her). I just got the Fiero GT last month and have been playing with the 350 a lot over the last two weeks (330/385 hp/tq crate engine with only 5 miles on her).
I will be posting many questions as I have temp sensor problems along with carb adjustment questions - and a lot of them!
I hope to eventually be able to help others with their cars - since once I get into something, I usually don't give up until I know too much about it.
Glad to be here!Saxman

Saxman: Welcome to the forum. What is the story behind the user name? Reason I ask is that both of my Sons are professional sax players.

Me too-
I play sax (sometimes) for the Air Force. I do more P.R. now than playing, but I love the horn! Where do your boys work?Saxman

I'm a Florida-boy, too. I grew up in Lakeland. I'm probably about the same age as your sons...Saxman

They are journeymen musicians and have backed up some guys like Sam and Dave, The Coasters, The Shirells, etc. Dan plays Alto, and Don plays Baritone and Tenor. It's been good to them and they have gotten to travel. When I was in my teens and early 20's I blew tenor for some R & R groups, but had nowhere the talent they do. They are 37 now.
When I saw the saxman handle I had to ask.

Great to hear. I got to play with the Coasters when I was stationed in Virginia. That was a good time!Saxman

Oh - I forgot to mention that I am the editor for Domestic Driver magazine, too. I didn't join here to plug the mag because I need lots of SBC info, but if anyone has a nice America sports car that they would like to show off, feel free to let me know - or submit your car at the website. There are free sample mags available on the site.
Cheers!Saxman
Saw this posted on FB, and thought of posting it on the Joke Page as a Model A Donk, but then thought it's not a joke, it's cool!! -
