Newbie....
Just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking on here for about a year now and finally wanted to register:
I drive a 1990 Chevy C1500
-383
-9.5 compression
-218/224 flat tappet
-AFR 180cc heads
-Pro Magnum 1.52 rollers
-Holley StealthRam induction(stock)
-700R4
-3.73s
-Long tube 1 5/8" headers
-Intermediate dual 3" mandrel bend pipe
-Custom Corsa 3" exhaust
And a lot more stuff.

Pic uploaded. The grill inserts are not on the truck, I bought them and didn't like them. Going with a custom black grill insert with polished rim.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
