New kid from washington.
Well, there isn't too much to say. My dad moved and left me his car that would have cost too much to drive 3000 miles across the country.
Its a 49 olds, 4 door fast back. Interior has been re-done, its got electric Cadillac seats all new mallory gauges (even though the speedometer doesn't work). Uhhh, new-ish paint, ford 9' in the rear and a not-so-stock 455 big block.
Im 18, and I own it. Plain and simple. It needs a few things done here and there, and im thinking that this forum will be a great asset to everything I need to accomplish. pics will come without a doubt. thanks.

The '49 Olds is a great looking car. I have wanted one since I went to my first NASCAR race and watched one win (like in about 1953).
And that should give you a good idea of my advanced age ......
A friend of mine had a '49 two door fastback. It was a beautiful forest green color and had the original 303 in it. The engine had had probably every performance enhancing treatment that was available at the time and it was spectacular, by the standards of that time anyway.
The bible says "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife". Well, I never have coveted my neighbor's wife, but I'll admit, I DID covet my buddy's OLDS.
Is that sinful?
Welcome to CHR, 49 Olds.
